BM - NEWSLETTER - 2 / 2011 27.09.2011: Berlin is booming – and so are we! Of course we are happy to see our services highly appreciated. This year we successfully took part in great challenges, such as the Berlin Fashion Week, the Bread and Butter, as well as the Berlinale. We were also closely involved in the Women’s World Soccer Championship and, most recently, in the IFA. Consequently to our numerous activities, we now have our own workshops with 24/7 service to rely on anytime and guarantee our passengers’ safety. All bookings are administered via phone and/or e-mail. We’d like to let our customers know, who is behind the friendly voice on the phone and who is answering their e-mails: Many of our customers know Ms Duch who has been a valuable member of our company for more than twelve years and takes care of HR issues, general administration and processing of damage claims. Our partner company Starship expanded in May 2011. We are glad to count two brand new Sprinters with 18+1+1 seats among our fleet! Regarding comfort and convenience, these high-quality equipped vehicles surely equal our “big ones”. We are proud of the confidence more and more companies are showing us, especially those entrusting us with transport of school children, who are our most important passengers. BerlinMobil is now serving all city districts and we are proud our vehicles are spotted more and more often everywhere in the city. Furthermore, we have been expanding in the field of transport for disabled passengers. We are serving Berlin as well as its surrounding area. Thanks to the increasing amount of orders, we hired a new staff member. Since August 2011 Mr Steffan Peter works together with Mr Christian Guenzel. In the near future you will get a picture of him on our homepage (go to “our team”). Please feel always welcome to drop by at our business park. Enjoy a relaxing stay at our ”hafenküche“, with a fabulous view on the river Spree. Thank you to all our customers and their confidence. It is always our pleasure to be there for you! 16.02.2011: Dear customers, colleagues and friends of BerlinMobil,
... to start off with - sorry! I hope you have noticed, because you missed it, that really no “news” came in 2010, although there has barely been a year as eventful as the last one at BerlinMobil.

Hence you’ll only get a brief summary; information dating from 2010 isn’t really “news” anymore!

03 / 2010 - We move

... to begin with only the administration moves into the new location at the Gewerbehof Hafen & Hof in Berlin Lichtenberg - Rummelsburg. This gives us optimal connection with our school bus traffic, assignment region, with the city and the new major airport Schönefeld.

03 / 2010 - Is our birthday

... BerlinMobil is 20 years old! We can’t believe it, but so much time has passed already since the firm was founded and of course we are just a little bit proud about what has developed from the back room firm with a used VW-Caddy in 1990, and we always found it fun to be a part of those developments that have taken place in Berlin since the reunification.

04 / 2010 - The fleet moves to the new location

... the fleet moves to the new location in Rummelsburg and the workshop starts operating as well. It is much easier for us to be able to use a workshop now which is geared towards our needs and offers a comfortable working environment for all employees.

05 / 2010 - The washing plant

... comes into operation and this as well makes work a lot easier because the waiting and post-processing times substantially decrease for the bus drivers and, this is not only due to the plant washing automatically, but also because it uses rain water. This is not only ecologically friendly but also reduces the chalk residues on the windows and in this way offers even better viewing to our customers.

07 / 2010 - BerlinMobil celebrates its 20th birthday

... with employees and guests at the new location. Good weather, fine food and a live band meant a very long evening – the last guests only left next morning (a good thing that we are located in a business park and nobody can be disturbed).

09 / 2010 - A new large order for school bus traffic

... the council area of Reinickendorf awards a contract for the transport of over 100 school kids. Now we transport over a 1000 children per day to school as well as over a 1000 children per day to swimming lessons.

12 / 2010 - We introduce a new uniform

... in all areas, which means it is for the colleagues in school bus traffic as well as for the bus drivers and now the outfit is also standard at BerlinMobil. As an aside, this uniform is also worn by the pilots of a large German airline and we think our colleagues look really smart in it.
